1. Chloe Kim wins halfpipe gold medal for United States
American snowboard sensation Chloe Kim produced a brilliant performance to take gold in the women's halfpipe.
The 17-year-old won with a score of 98.25 on her final run with China's Jiayu Liu taking silver and United States' Arielle Gold winning bronze.
Kim had already secured gold with her first run score but improved to win by eight-and-a-half points.
She is one of the stars of the Games and a favourite with the home fans due to her South Korean parents.

2. Marcel Hirscher wins first Olympic gold in men's combined
Austrian skiing great Marcel Hirscher won a long-awaited first Olympic gold medal with victory in the men's combined event in Pyeongchang.
Hirscher won with a combined time of two minutes 6.52 seconds over the downhill and slalom events.
The 28-year-old is regarded as one of the all-time greats in the sport with 55 World Cup race wins but had never won gold in two previous Winter Games.
Frenchmen Alexis Pinturault and Victor Muffat-Jeandet won silver and bronze.
3. Short track speed skating - ladies 500m
Italy's Arianna Fontana won a dramatic 500m short-track speed skating final as home favourite Choi Min-jeong was disqualified after finishing second.
Fontana pipped the South Korean to the line after British hopeful Elise Christie fell earlier in the race.
Choi was then disqualified, bumping Dutchwoman Yara Van Kerkhof into the silver medal position while Canada's Kim Boutin collected bronze.
Christie did regain her feet to cross the line in fourth.

4 & 5. Cross country skiing - Ladies sprint classic & Men's sprint classic
Norway's Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo and Sweden's Stina Nilsson claimed the sprint classic gold medals at the Winter Olympics.
World Cup leader Klaebo beat Federico Pellegrino of Italy by 1.34 seconds.
Nilsson was equally impressive in the women's event, beating defending champion Maiken Caspersen Falla from Norway by 3.03 seconds.
Falla was bidding to become the first athlete to defend the Olympic title in this cross-country skiing event.
Alexander Bolshunov, an Olympic Athletes from Russia, claimed the men's bronze, with compatriot Yulia Belorukova third in the women's event.
Great Britain's Andrew Young failed to advance from the time trial qualifier after finishing 45th out of 79.

6. Canada land third gold medal with curling mixed doubles win
Canada claimed a third gold medal at the Winter Olympics with victory over Switzerland in the inaugural curling mixed doubles.
Kaitlyn Lawes and John Morris beat Jenny Perret and Martin Rios 10-3 in the final at Gangneung Curling Centre.
The Olympics Athletes from Russia beat Norway 8-4 to claim the bronze medal.
Husband and wife Anastasia Bryzgalova and Aleksandr Krushelnitckii beat Kristin Skaslien and Magnus Nedregotten.

7. Natalie Geisenberger wins luge gold in German one-two
Germany's Natalie Geisenberger took gold following a dominant display in the women's singles luge.
The 30-year-old beat compatriot Dajana Eitberger to the top spot while Canada's Alex Gough won bronze to become her country's first female luge medallist.
Geisenberger's gold was Germany's fifth in the Winter Olympics so far.
Germany's one-two came after a mistake by defending champion Felix Loch cost him a gold medal in the men's singles.

8. Kjeld Nuis wins speed skating gold for dominant Dutch
Kjeld Nuis edged out fellow Dutchman Patrick Roest by 0.85 seconds to win 1500m speed skating gold at the Winter Olympics.
World champion Nuis finished in one minute 44.01 seconds at Gangneung Oval on his Olympic debut.
South Korea's Kim Min-seok, 18, won bronze, 0.92 seconds adrift of Nuis.
